My work computer has been running slow and we’ve been getting pop ups in Internet explorer 7 for a couple of weeks now, I finally decided to try and fix it today.
I tried various adware/spyware software but none of them helped.
We even bought and installed Norton Internet Security 2007 and still nothing was found.
I opened the task manager to see which applications/processes were running and in the process list, THUNKDEAFGREAT.exe flashed up for a few seconds. The CPU meter was also at 100% a lot, even though Norton was the only application running. Doing a google I found that thunkdeafgreat.exe is a form of spy/adware.
Q1)Why can’t the adware software (with the latest updates) find and remove it?
Q2)How on earth am I meant to get rid of it?
